General background:Nepal (officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal) is a Sovereign state located in South Asia. It is a landlocked country located along the Himalayas and bordered to the north by China and to the south, east, and west by India. The mountainous north of Nepal has eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest (Himalayas Mountains). About 19% of Nepal's territory has been declared a nature reserve.

Cooperation with AICAT:Cooperation with AICAT began in 2004, with the Tribhuvan University of Agriculture and Animal Science.
In 2013 we developed a collaboration with the Sana Kisan Bikas Bank Ltd., which support farmers in rural areas.
The Nepalese students all come from the Dedine region in Nepal. All the students are university graduates in agriculture-related fields, and have agricultural experience.
